For Diana Bishop, a little treat can make a world of difference. Baking treats for family and friends helped Bishop to recognize how much joy a little treat can bring. In March of 2026, her business, Sweet Puff Pop’s, began. Bishop says, “I started by making treats for small gatherings and celebrations, and over time I realized how much joy homemade desserts can bring to people.” With some encouragement from family and friends, she decided to start a cottage food business and spread joy to others with her treats. Bishop says, “Seeing people smile when they try something I made inspired me to turn my passion into a small business.”
Sweet Puff Pop’s specializes in cake pops and other hand-dipped treats. Bishop decided to specialize in these sweet treats because she says, “whenever I brought cake pops to gatherings, they were always the first dessert to disappear.” Cake pops offer so much opportunity for Bishop to display her creativity. Bishop especially loves that each order can be unique. She says, “I love helping people celebrate birthdays, weddings, baby showers, and other special moments with custom treats.” When asked what she enjoys the most about having her own business, Bishop replied, “what I enjoy most is the creativity and the connection with customers. Every cake pop is homemade and crafted with care. I focus on fresh ingredients, attention to detail, customizing flavors and designs to match each event or celebration.”
Bishop loves serving the local community, but she will also deliver her sweet treats. Sweet Puff Pop’s serves customers in Rochester and the Twin Cities. Sweet Puff Pop’s will also deliver within a 20-mile radius of Mazeppa. Bishop can cater to events farther away with an additional delivery fee.
