West Concord, MN – A favorite summer tradition returns as Berne Wood-Fired Pizza kicks off its 2025 season,
bringing together community, music, and delicious wood-fired pizza in the heart of the Minnesota countryside. This
seasonal outdoor venue, nestled in rural Dodge County, transforms every Wednesday night in June, July, and
August into a celebration of food, fellowship, and rural charm.
This year’s season includes something extra special: Berne’s first-ever Saturday night event on June 28 from 5–10
PM—Battle of the Tribute Bands—featuring Tumblin’ Dice: The Rolling Stones Experience and Dust n’ Bones: A
Guns N’ Roses Tribute. The evening also includes craft beer from SxSE MN Brewing Company of Pine Island,
MN.
Berne Pizza is operated solely by volunteers and raises money for nonprofit organizations across SE Minnesota. “I
love meeting new people and working side by side with them,” said Patricia Derby, event coordinator. “Seeing
people visiting, dancing, and little kids playing brings me joy. Many people have told me they’re busy on
Wednesdays, so I’m excited we can welcome them for this one special Saturday night this season!”
In addition to the Saturday event, the 2025 season promises a vibrant lineup of weekly live music, family-friendly
fun, and special themed tribute concerts.

● August 20 – Tribute to ABBA

● Salute to Veterans Event (July 2)
● Kids’ Night with Zollman Zoo (July 9)
● Artisan Market Night (Aug. 6)
Each night features seven specialty pizzas, which can be purchased upon arrival or in advance on Eventbrite. Pizzas
range from the traditional pepperoni and sausage, meat lover’s, and bacon cheeseburger to Hawaiian, Greek, or
barbeque. All events are free to attend and offer a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy
handcrafted wood-fired pizzas, made fresh on-site, while soaking in the sights and sounds of summer.
