Well, here in the Dodge Center area, you know spring is on its way when you realize the Dodge County Expo is happening again. This year marks the official 25 year anniversary of this show started by Jerry Fahning, to exhibit all that the county has to offer. Vendors of every kind come together to show you what they have in the way of businesses in the area. There will be restaurants, law offices, tax preparation, and retail establishments. Scouts of America will be on hand to tell you about the projects they will be doing to help the community. Future Farmers of America will present you with information about their events and meetings. Over 100 vendors will fill the gymnasiums for you to peruse!
All this is happening this year on Saturday, March 29th from 8 am to 2 pm at the Triton School. The address is 813 w. Highway Street in Dodge Center, and we encourage you to rise early and join the FFA for a twenty five cent breakfast! The breakfast is sponsored by KMtelecom, and served by the FFA group from 8 am to 9:30 am, or until the food is gone. They will be serving up eggs, toast, breakfast potatoes, sausage, milk and coffee. For more details on this and other information, you can go to www.dodgecountyexpo.com.
There will be a food court featuring many of the restaurants and food trucks in the area in one of the gyms, and entertainment in another, so bring your dancing shoes and prepare for a bunch of fun! The entertainment for the day will be:
Boogie -from 8 am to 10 am- what is this? Come out and see!
The Rockin' Hep Cats -from 9:30 to 11:30. Sounds like here's where the dance shoes come into play!
Chris Rollo -from noon to 2pm
Just for Kix Dancers -noon
And Rookie the Clown will be hanging around for the entire show!
The food court will offer delights from HammerQ BBQ, Plaza Morena and County Seat Cafe, as well as the Washington DC Fundraiser menu.
As you can see, the day will be filled with good food, fun events, lots of entertainment, gift bags from select vendors....and it's all FREE, except the food! So come on over and join the 3,000 or more neighbors who come to this event every year, and who knows? You may even learn something new about the community you live in!
