Loren Scripture, 90, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, at St. Marys Hospital, following complications of Guillain-Barré syndrome.
Loren was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. To many, he was affectionately known as "Uncle Bud." His kindness, quick wit, and unwavering love for his family defined his life, and he had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcome and valued.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janice, and their daughter, Helen. Loren is lovingly remembered by his children, Glenda (Tom) Evans, Raena Scripture, and Tammy (Dan) Hester; grandchildren Thomas Evans (Meghan), Hillary Diede (Dane), Andrea Kordaris-Corkill (Jason), William Kordaris (Heather), and Alissa Hester; and 11 great-grandchildren, who were his greatest joy.
Earlier this year, Loren's family and friends gathered to celebrate his 90th birthday on May 4. The day was filled with laughter, stories, and cherished memories - a true reflection of the love he inspired throughout his life.
Loren's legacy of warmth, humor, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
