More Than Just a Team: The Heart and Family Behind Triton Softball

At Triton, softball isn’t just a sport—it’s a bond that brings the girls closer. On and off the field, they support and cheer each other on; their connection is truly special. For the Triton softball team, it has never been just a team—it is family, built on trust and love.

From the first practice on March 9, 2026, to the last game on May 15, 2026, the team makes every second count, despite the short season. Seniors Addison Oakland, Rainey Dobbs, and Norah Freidlerich shared what it feels like to be a senior.

Rainey said, “Being a senior on the team means leading by example and being a role model to younger girls.” Norah added, “It feels very different knowing this is my last high school sport. I’m really trying to take on the lead and enjoy my last season.” Addison shared, “It feels sad, but exciting. I get the opportunity to lead and encourage younger girls to give their best effort.”

When asked who had the biggest impact on them, Norah said, “Joe Giesler, because he is always there to help and cheer you up whenever you need it.” Addison said, “My parents and coaches have supported and encouraged me at every practice and game.”

The seniors encourage others to join the team. “100% do it! It’s a super welcoming sport and a great environment—you never know what could happen,” they said.

The 2026 Triton softball team is more than just a team—they are a family full of love, support, and fun.
