Order Setting Forth Initial Descriptions and Setting Hearing Date

ORDER SETTING FORTH INITIAL DESCRIPTIONS

AND SETTING HEARING DATE:

WHEREAS, the town board of Concord Township, Dodge County, Minnesota was presented a petition at its meeting on the 10th day of September, 2026 requesting the alteration of a road and a vacation of an alley;

WHEREAS, the petition contained a description of the road and alley, the names of the owners over which the road passes, the point of beginning, general course, and termination of the proposed road;

WHEREAS, Minn. Stat. ยง 164.07, subd. 2 requires the town board to make an order describing as nearly as practicable the road to be altered, and or vacated, describing the several tracts of land through which the road passes, and fixing a time and place when and where the town board will meet and act upon the petition;

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT:

1. The road proposed to be altered is described as: Platted width of 554th St. is 100โ€™. Alter the platted width to the standard township 66โ€™ from 201st Avenue east to the hamlet of Concord east border.

2. The alley proposed to be vacated is described as: All of the alley located in Block 19 between Commerce Street and Park Street, Original Plat, Concord, Dodge County, Minnesota.

3. Vacate: The street proposed to be vacated is described as: All of Water Street in the Hamlet of Concord, Dodge County, MN. All in T108N, R17W, Dodge County, Minnesota.

More specific descriptions may be developed if the petition is granted.

The Concord Town Board will conduct a hearing at 6:30 p.m. on the 8th day of October, 2026, at Concord Town Hall to examine the road, receive public comment, consider the proposed action, and act on the petition.
